Alex Wright is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ariel Corporation, the world’s largest manufacturer of separable reciprocating gas compressors. Named CEO in July 2021, he represents the third generation of family leadership, following his grandfather and company founder, Jim Buchwald, and his mother, Karen Buchwald Wright.

Under Alex’s leadership, Ariel continues to expand its global presence and support critical energy infrastructure while preparing for the opportunities of the energy transition. He has emphasized innovation, operational excellence, and the company’s deep commitment to its people, customers, and community.

Prior to becoming CEO, Alex gained experience across multiple divisions of Ariel, serving in roles that strengthened his expertise in operations, strategy, and organizational development. Based in Mount Vernon, Ohio, he is committed to carrying forward Ariel’s legacy of integrity, quality, and leadership in the energy industry.
