
Katherine Legge
Katherine Legge is a British professional racing driver who has competed at elite levels in IndyCar, sports car racing, and NASCAR . She made history in 2005 as the first woman to win a major open-wheel race in North America, capturing three victories in the Toyota Atlantic Championship that year. Legge also holds the record for the fastest qualifying lap by a female driver in Indianapolis 500 history, set in 2023 . Beyond the track, she has served as an ambassador for women in motorsport – for example, partnering with Girl Scouts as a national STEM ambassador to inspire girls in science and racing. Katherine is currently the president of DROPLiGHT Racing.
